On the Great Lakes in N. America, however, I notice that a number of ships have their superstructure split fore and aft (I suspect accommodation aft and bridge forward). Why is this? Hello, I have a 115 hp 2-stroke on a 24 ft pontoon and I can not get it to go over 19 mph. Everything on the motor and boat are as they should be. One problem I notice is when I "throttle up" my throttle lever, wide open hits the dash and I have to hold it in place or it will back off as we cross the water. I purchased them used and when I purchased them the guy told me that 1 took regular straight gas and the other had to be mixed with 2 stroke oil. Being a girl and often blonde I forgot which was which! Can someone help me out here. I don't know a lot about them to tell you. I know that the 96 is beefier than the 95 so I'm thinking the 95 is the 2 stroke, right? Now, what would happen to a two stroke if you ran it with regular gas in it and didn't mix it? Boat is in excellant condition and under 50 hours running time. All of a sudden on last outing the alarm horn started beeping in long continuous beeps and the boat would only go to mid power and cut out if more was attempted.
